Amaechi Explains What Victory Means To APC
Rotimi Amaechi, the governor of Rivers state and director
general of the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign
organisation, on Tuesday, March 31, said his party would be noble in
victory.
Amaechi also said that the elect APC administration would do all the things the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government failed to do.

According to Daily Independent report, he was sighted at Shoprite, Surulere, on May 24, Sunday, looking very pathetic.
Ernest had suffered stroke some months back and was spotted still limping.
The actor, who was dressed in a Manchester United jersey, blue jean pants and bathroom slippers was said to be practically begging shoppers money to eat.
According to him, the president of Actors Guild, Ibinabo Fiberesima and some of his colleagues in the entertainment industry are aware of his condition but have refused to come to his aid.

Pastor Accused Of Murdering His Pregnant Wif
Ghanaian self-proclaimed prophet and evangelical preacher has been
arrested on suspicion of murdering his pregnant British wife in a hotel
room
The body of Charmain Adusah, 41, was discovered by hotel staff
face down in a bath where she had been lying for four days. Her husband,
Eric Isaiah Adusah, was alleged to have left the hotel hurriedly on the
day she is believed to have died. He told hotel managers that his
three-month pregnant wife was ill and did not want to be disturbed.
A close family friend said that Mr Adusah, 28, flew back to London but later returned to Ghana after his wife’s body was found by concerned hotel stuff.
Now Mr Adusah is being held in police custody in Ghana on suspicion of murdering his wife, whom he married suddenly last September, following a whirlwind romance. Family members and friends confessed that such a swift wedding was a great shock for all of them.
His wife had an eight-year-old son from a previous relationship in Wales, but the boy has not yet been told the awful news and was staying with his father.
A close family friend said that Mr Adusah, 28, flew back to London but later returned to Ghana after his wife’s body was found by concerned hotel stuff.
Now Mr Adusah is being held in police custody in Ghana on suspicion of murdering his wife, whom he married suddenly last September, following a whirlwind romance. Family members and friends confessed that such a swift wedding was a great shock for all of them.

Revival Ministries church based in Tottenham, north London and has been
active as a preacher in Britain since 2010. He has led sermons across
the UK and Ireland, receiving £1million in charitable donations in five
years and giving sermons on religious satellite television channels.
The self-proclaimed prophet has always described his preachings as
‘divine visitation’ events.
In
conversation with journalists, a close family friend accused Mr Adusah
of being a ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’, stressing that the husband had
brainwashed his wife.
Mrs Adusah was described as a ‘free spirit’ who started following her husband’s church around two years ago. They started a relationship early last year and married in September in London.

President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday, April 5, looked
back at his years of service from being the deputy governor of his home
state, Bayelsa, to when he became the President of the Federal Republic
of Nigeria.
Speaking while receiving residents of the Federal Capital Territory led by Vice President Namadi Sambo who paid him Easter homage at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, President Jonathan said, “I think it is enough”, Punch reports.
The President said he had no doubt that he is the luckiest Nigerian.
He said, “For me as an individual, this Easter coincides with the time I am leaving but I always say that I am one of the luckiest Nigerians. I am yet to see somebody luckier than me.
“From 1999, I was in the hands of government for 16 years. Not just in government as a parliamentarian because if you are a Senator or House of Representatives member, you take care of yourself, you live in your own house.
“I was in a cage, being taken care of by the government. From May 29, 1999 to date; 16 good years. I think it is enough and I am happy, help me to thank God for that.
“I will continue to thank Nigerians for giving me that privilege. I
became a deputy governor because Bayelsans voted for me and my governor
then. I became a Vice President because Nigerians voted for Yar’Adua and
myself.
“I continued in 2011 because Nigerians voted for me and Architect Namadi Sambo. I have to thank all Nigerians. Wherever I will be, I will remain grateful to this great country. Today is a glorious day for me.”
Jonathan said Easter, being a period of sacrifice, Nigerians should be ready to make sacrifice for the survival of the government irrespective of who is the President at a given time.

Osaze Will Soon Be Back
Stoke City coach, Mark Hughes has revealed that Nigerian player,
Peter Odemwingie will soon be back after a long spell on the sidelines
due to injury.

Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria’s former vice president, has
officially congratulated Muhammadu Buhari on winning the presidential
election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission will announce the final results only after providing the figures on Borno. However, based on the already available numbers the All Progressives Congress candidate will emerge winner.
Atiku’s statement, which appeared on his official website, reads:
“My hearty congratulations to His Excellency, General Muhammadu Buhari, for being elected the next president of our beloved county, Nigeria. You have led our party, the All Progressives Congress to an unprecedented victory within two years of it’s official formation, and in so doing, written the most important chapter of our democracy.
“The great Nnamdi Azikiwe once wrote that “history will continue to vindicate the just”. Your victory in the polls, with votes from across the length and breadth of our country, bears witness to the acceptance of not just our party, the APC, but also your ideology of justice, fair play and zero tolerance for corruption as the bedrock for national rebirth.
“At this historic moment, it is most important to say a hearty thank you to every Nigerian who voted for the APC. Your votes have not just elected the first opposition party into federal power, but has also set a precedent which will have positive implications for democracy across Africa.

Patience Jonathan, the wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, insisted that GEJ would remain the country leader for 8 years.

Dame Patience, who was accompanied by the PDP national and state leaders, arrived at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, venue of the rally, at about 1.30pm.
The event was marked by an unfortunate situation as the two purportedly aggrieved youths from the PDP tore down some banners with the image of the president’s wife.
The two where removed from the venue by the local security.
Addressing women, Mrs Jonathan explained why her husband must stay in the office for another term. She was quoted as saying by The Nation:

“I am a peaceful person and I preach peace anywhere I go. They are looking for fight, they are looking for war. They are troublesome people. That is why they went and take expired drugs.
“Now they are crying. They are the people stoning people and nobody talk. They are dragging stadium but me I am ready to go to the street and do my campaign.
“The president is building schools. That is why in the whole federation when he came in, he built universities in every state. He built federal universities so that our children should go and learn.
“Goodluck has built uncountable hospitals, primary health centres. He equipped primary health centres, trained doctors and nurses.
“In Edo State, the federal university has been rehabilitated and well equipped for us. He gave our sons scholarships. Mr. President is ready to pay if you don’t have money to pay for your children.
“They were there years back. They have nothing to offer. Ask them what they offered to us when they were there. They were in Aso Rock before, what did they forget in Aso Rock they want to go and take. Days are gone when old people will continue to dominate us.”

President Goodluck Jonathan and All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari have signed yet another peace accord to show their commitment to peaceful elections.

The meeting was organized by the National Peace Committee under the Chairmanship of former Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar.
The meeting was also attended by the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Matthew Kukah, and APC National Chairman, John Oyegun among others.
